International Payments for Art Commissions are on Artconomy!

The number one requested feature since our launch in 2018 has finally arrived: Artconomy’s Shield protection system is now available to artists outside of the United States.

In fact, payouts to artists are now available in over 50 countries! What does this mean for you and your Artconomy account? How do you take advantage of International Payments for Art Commissions? We’ll show you!

If you have an Artconomy account already and couldn’t use shield before, the process to switch over is also quite simple. All you have to do is click the ‘Re-enable shield‘ button on your payout settings page:

…and then follow the prompts!

All you have to do is select your country from the dropdown to get started.

What if my Country isn’t Supported?

You can still use Artconomy as you have before– with product listings, workload management and orders to help you organize everything. Just hit the ‘Disable Shield‘ button and you’ll be able to list products without shield protection.

If your country isn’t supported yet– that’s OK. Our payment processor is working to add support for more and more countries, so yours may be supported some time in the future!

I’m in the US and Already Use Shield– Do I Need to Change Anything?

Soon, yes. We will be migrating all artists over to the new payment system. You can go ahead and hop onto your payout settings now and switch over. Otherwise you will be prompted to update your information at a later date. We recommend switching over now to prevent any interruptions in payouts.
